Therapy Animal Team Requests

If you are interested in having our teams visit your facility, please contact our Facilities Coordinator for more info at info@musiccitypetpartners.org.

Our teams routinely visit hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living residences,
 colleges and universities,
courts and detention centers, Veterans' organizations, and libraries and elementary schools as part of our Read with Me program.

All of our teams are volunteers and provide services at no charge.

We try to honor as many requests as possible, but ability to visit depending on volunteer availability and having a suitable match for your facility setting since different animals are best suited for different settings
(e.g., hospital, nursing home, elementary school or university, Veterans' organization, courts and detention centers, nonprofit special events, workplace wellness visit, etc.). For example, some thrive in medical settings where there are different scents and sounds whereas other animals are better suited for children's reading programs.
Currently, most of our teams are therapy dog teams with dogs ranging in breed, size, and age (generally 2-10+ years old),
but we also have several mini horse and cat teams.

Pet Partners provides some useful information for facilities interested in therapy animals
on the national website, which can be accessed here.

Please note you also can submit volunteer opportunities on the national website through a link ; however, as a local Community Partner, we also maintain a facilities directory for our members. Since opportunities posted on the national website are not necessarily communicated to the local Community Partner, we recommend emailing requests directly to our Facilities Coordinator or cross-submitting your requests to increase the likelihood that a local volunteer will be able to visit.
